Well.... I did it. I got off my tush and worked out.
And what did I pick? Cripes. It hurts to type it.
Jillian Michaels (from Biggest Loser) "The Biggest Winner" Shape Up - Front
Ouch. It was TOUGH. But... I did it. That's all that matters.
I don't even know how long the workout is. It was very intense, though. I can't wait for my chest to get a little smaller... it will make those jumping jacks so much more pleasant.
Here is the workout schedule I made for the next few weeks:

SAT - SHAPE UP BACKSIDE
SUN - REST
MON - SHAPE UP - FRONT

I know it seems kind of ambitious... but I feel that the Jillian Michaels workouts will build strength quickly as long as I stick with them. Once this first month is over, I will be switching over to 3 days cardio and 3 days strength to balance and burn fat. Sometimes when I think about this current schedule, I wonder if it would be smarter for me to put more cardio now to burn fat and then work up the strength training. I will see how the first week or two goes on the weight loss front, and determine from there what the best approach will be.
I'm just really freakin proud of myself for staying with this. I feel great.

Good workout!
You know, I am an idiot.
I think I get atleast 2 or 3 fitness magazines each month, each stocked full with workout programs and ideas. Usually I pay no mind to the workouts they suggest because I don't go to the gym, I don't use a treadmill or elliptical, and I don't jog/run. Most workouts are specific to those areas.
I mentioned in another post about Fitness magazine, and their "You Can Do It" challenge for September. They have a really cool strength training workout to do 3 times a week. I thought it wouldn't be too bad. There were some new moves, but they looked easy enough.
This workout is GREAT. I worked every part of my body. I sweat. My muscles burned. I even had my heart pumping and was out of breath a few times. Nice! This was really a kick ass workout. I recommend it.
Now let's see how sore I am tomorrow. I was sore today just from the cardio workout yesterday. My inner thighs and left tricep were tender. They both didn't bother me when I was doing this workout today. I feel like Rocky Balboa.
