I hate that I don't get to post frequently anymore. I've been so out of touch.
I've had mucho health problems over the past few months, and right now I am currently prepping for a *cough cough* colonoscopy tomorrow. OH THE HUMANITY. It has not been a pleasant prep... but I will be thankful when it is over tomorrow. I'm just looking forward to the happy drugs that will knock me out... and make me feel like I'm not really caring about anything at all. :o) Yeah... it's the little things.
I will update after my procedure and decide from there which way my weight loss adventure will be heading.
It's been FOREVER

Tales from the Scale giveaway!
Just a quick note - Tales from the Scales has a giveaway contest! Ten winners will get 2 boxes of Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars just for commenting on their post! You guys rock. I hope I win! Snacks are definitly my weakness, and these would be a great healthy choice.
I will update in a bit... I've been off the wagon weightloss-wise, but have good excuse (sort of). I have been consumed with school starting up again, and had a major epiphany about my career goals. It's been refreshing.
Soreness blows.
I hate delayed onset muscle soreness!!!!
I didn't lift any weights yesterday, yet my left shoulder is sore when I raise my arm up. Today is supposed to be the upper body workout day, too. I'm still going to workout, but I think I will go very light on the shoulder exercises.
This mornings breakfast was okay. I hate the Nutrisystem eggs, so I used EggBeaters instead. I made an omlet - one slice of swiss, some sauteed onion, red and yellow pepper and some garlic. I splurged and had two english muffins, and stupid me... I grilled them using I Cant Believe Its Not Butter. Too much fat. According to the NS site, it was like a 600 calorie meal... which is highly likely... perhaps even a bit more. I will skip snack today to make up for it, and stick closely to lunch and dinner.
Last night I got the munchies. I ate like 20 grapes and that soooo didn't fix it for me. I ended up having the NS Caramel and Chocolate popcorn, which was good. I wish I wouldn't get hungry at night. I am positive it is boredom.
I need to work on drinking enough water. I only had 3 out of 8 glasses yesterday. Water helps you lose weight, and controls hunger by keeping you full. I so need this. I just did some figuring and came up with a plan. If I start at 8am and go every two hours, I can drink 8 glasses of water a day by 10pm. I should really try this today and see how it goes.
If I want to lose 30lbs by December, I have to lose an average of 6 lbs per month. 8 lbs per month if I want to do it in 4 months (by November - hey that would be a kick ass birthday present to myself!). I really need to be 140 atleast by December 1st. I just have to. I hope that I can keep my butt in gear with dieting and exercising, because I really want to finally lose this last bit.
My Ass Is Kicked
I decided to do the Women's Health "Workout For Your Body Type" DVD. Monday is a cardio day, and woo.... it kicked my ass just as bad as it did last week. Hopefully my thighs don't hurt as bad as last week. I could hardly do stairs or sit down on the front steps for a good two days. It is a kick ass cardio workout though. I will be happy when I can do the entire workout at normal intensity without stopping. Right now I have to modify like 2 or 3 moves, and stop to catch my breath maybe 3 times? I can hold my own for most of it, but definitly see weakness in my thighs. The jumping exercises are the ones that make me ache enough to stop. According to the DVD's recommendations, you do the cardio 3x a week so it shouldn't take too long to conquer it.
I had Nutrisystem all day so far. I've done well.
Breakfast: NS Blueberry muffin
Lunch: NS Chicken Noodle Soup, salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper and one slice provolone topped with 2 tbsp fat free italian dressing).
I still have to drink my milk, but I thought it would be good to save it for after my workout and mix it with a Carnation Instant Breakfast in order to get protein and help with muscle soreness. That always used to help when I was working out before. Plus it's YUM. Dinner... I don't know what I will have yet. I need to eat a NS meal, two servings of veggies, a dairy/protein and a fat. We'll see. I'm going by the Nutrisystem website. I had a book that came with my meals and it was so much easier to figure out exactly what I need each day. This will work though. I am so pumped about it.
